This was given as a gift to someone who uses it to make greeting cards cutting out those metal die cut pieces for paper cut outs. Apparently, this was a HUGE successful gift. My mom had a much larger 8 or 9 inch die cutting manual crank machine (and a cricut) but she HATES lugging and storing that larger metal die cutting machine around or when she goes to the senior center or at a friends to make greeting cards, or even just pulling it out of the closet to use on her table. It's heavy and bulky. She also has the small 3 inch crank manual die cutting machine you hand crank metal die cuts with. She loves it but it's sometimes too small for larger metal dies or embossing folders. She never ever thought she would want a 6 inch manual hand cranking die cut machine but she absolutely LOVES, LOVES, LOVES this one. She has already used it to make many different cards the day it arrived. She said it is much easier to crank those metal pieces through it. Smooth. Not much effort to run metal die cuts through it. Way easier than the larger one. She said this is a true joy and she regrets not buying this 6 inch manual hand cranking one as her first one. She does not care that the sides do not fold up for storage. She said this 6 inch metal die cutter is very solid. Directions explain which plates to use for metal die cuts (White fat plate on bottom, then plate C, then your paper, then your metal die cut, then plate B and run it through.....for embossing folders, it says use the fat white plate on bottom, plate B, embossing folder, and the second plate B.). This "perfect machine" (mom's words) came with many extras. Aside from the extra colored card stock paper, free metal die cuts, and clear stamps, and user manual, but this thing came with additional cutting plate accessories not advertised. Magnet pads and a rubber pad comes with this also. The seller was also incredible. Seller sent it fast. Fast shipping. Seller was so thoughtful for holiday season. Mom says her 9 years of card making experience, if you have to buy a first starter manual metal die cutter, feel good about getting the 3 inch one if you don't think you'll need to use embossing folders. If you want the all in one service of embossing folders and larger metal die cut pieces, go with the 6 inch. It's way smoother, quieter, lighter, and less effort to cut paper with the dies compared to that big 8 or 9 inch, sides folding up, hand crank die cut machine....OK, mom also says there is much less pressure required in hand strength to turn the handle crank thing. This product is a huge winner. This seller is a huge winner. Thank you seller. YAY! This gift was so appreciated.
