Six Months In
(This is a 6 month report.) In the half-year we've owned it, it has been trouble free and quiet -- especially when coompared to the 15-year-old Amana we replaced. Makes ice quickly. There is plenty of storage space in this uint. It's big. The self-closing doors are nice and work much like self-closing cabinet drawers in that you just have to give it a good push to close and it won't slam. Lighting is pretty good as well. Love the middle pantry door. We use it a good deal. The app is very helpful as well. As it was at the six-month mark, I changed the water filter and air filter. One odd thing, the unit came with a water filter to install but not an air filter. I (foolishly) assumed that the air filter was already installed at the factory. Much to my surprise, there was no air filter! Replacing the water filter was easy and I followed the LG produced video. Same for the air filter. I did turn off the water supply to eliminate any possible shower of water. The stainless steel exterior is easy to keep clean and stays pretty much smudge free. We've been very happy with the purchase so far. Hope to get many years of service from it.

If you have sensitive ears, the water refilling the ice dispenser is a smidge noisy, but I hardly noticed it after the first week. It wouldn't have dissuaded me from buying it though. I am so glad I bought it!
