Save yourself the trouble.
I bought this for our trip during the summer. Good thing, I decided to test it out before you go. My son is 5 years old and on the skinnier side, 37 lbs. This didn't stay in place. It kept sliding up over his head. I had my friend's kid try it on and it did the same thing, he's also 5 years old and around the same weight. They should have a belt underneath the armpit so it doesn't slide up over the head. We did move the two belts all the way in, still doesn't stay in place.
