i bought this flyrod specifically for fishing in Lake Ida in Delray Beach Florida to fish for Peacock bass. although i didn't use thevreel that came with it and used my 9/10 wt saltwater reel becausecwas also going to be fishing in Miami bay. i fouthe rod to cast very well for an inexpensive rod and also besides Peacock bass, caught a large Clown knife fish with no problem. Highly recommend this rod at a low low cost
