Rebuilt with minimal labor
This rebuilt CV axle was coated with some type of thin gray paint or dry moly coat. Flakes off easily with a plastic scraper. Ended up removing from spines and seal surfaces. Didn't want to have it getting into the transmission fluid or damaging the seal itself. Found surface rust in splines once coating was removed. Not a good preparation job. Boots seemed ok, time will tell. Very low quality.
