2 person assembly is most helpful. My 9 year old helped me. Not difficult at all to understand the instructions. Took me maybe 10 minutes once everything was out of the packaging. It's quite comfortable, absolutely better than a zinus brand sofa I had purchased a couple of years back on Amazon. It pairs well with the DHP love seat. The legs are different but the fabrics are the same.
