LOVE this product!! I use it in my aroid potting mix for my orchids, philodendrons, syngoniums, alglaomenas, alocasias, anthuriums.....basically, anything that requires a bit more drainage. Perlite tends to "float" or gravitate to the top after several watering cycles, this coir is a far superior alternative. I also use it as a top dressing, and for my terrariums. This brand in particular is the best, as the product has been rinsed several times to prevent a higher than desired ph. Additionally: it's just the right size for creating the perfect "chunky" aroid mix. Comes in a solid compressed block.....hydrate with warm water for quick use, or simply store it in the potting mix bin, and it will soften enough to become easy to break apart as you need it.
