It is a nice looking device, kind of retro and a little steampunk. Comes with a few filters and works well for pour over coffee. Its the only way to make a great cup of coffee.

I bought the articulating arm version of this pour over coffee maker for its appearance, it has a retro steam-punk vibe. I also thought adjusting the filter basket height would alter the appearance and taste of the brew. Perhaps a higher basket would result in a foamy crema style coffee? No. It's just a look. The two adjustments simply accommodate larger cups. The glass is a Pyrex type that resists extremes in temperature. The fluted glass decanter and brew basket are impressive in appearance. But likely are too fragile. However the glass is extremely thin. This leads me to believe that I will break it, probably sooner rather than later so it's impractical for a daily use product. The bamboo wood base has no indent for the decanter. It's simply a small wooden plank on which the decanter is placed. And I see this as one more contributing factor to how likely it is to get broken. Even the articulating arm, if not adjusted exactly right could cause the arm to fall, again risking damage to the glass. If your preference for brewing coffee is the pour over method, a $20 device will perform the same task. Not worth $80 in my opinion.
