I've purchased many pieces of online furniture, so I'm no stranger to the fact that things come with a bit of a smell from packaging. However, the smell that comes out of this unit has been almost unbearable. Immediately I had to put the entire unit outside because it overpowered my house. Once outside for 24 hours, I wiped it down with soap and water per the instructions and went back over with pledge. It's still SO powerful that it's unusable. Very disappointed and honestly nervous to put it in my house. If we are just talking style and design, it's a cool style. The magnet pop doors are not the best quality and just don't feel sturdy. Overall, be very cautious of ordering for the potent chemical smell.
