I wanted crackle

I follow the directions on the back but I didn't use Montana's brand paint. When I ordered the crackle spray didn't read anywhere that you needed to order their products to get the crackle to work. BUT my vase turned out with a beautiful patina green so all was not lost but I really would have loved some CRACKLE!
