Broke the first time I used it

I have been using bike chain cleaners on a frequent basis for years. Generally, they last a few months before just wearing out. I was looking for a more heavy-duty chain cleaner that would last longer, and this one seemed to get good reviews for durability. I bought it through the Walmart web site, but it was sold by Xtreme Bike & Sport. When I received the chain cleaner, I read the instructions and checked it out before using it on my bike. You remove the top of the cleaner by pressing two plastic buttons (the "eyes" of the pig) that are held in place by plastic tabs. Then I used it to clean my chain, and it worked great. However, when I pressed the plastic buttons to remove the top of the cleaner to take it off the chain, I felt something snap. Sure enough, the plastic tab that holds one of the buttons had broken off. This makes the cleaner unusable unless you hold the top on with your hand while using it. I contacted Xtreme Bike & Sport for a return and was told they wouldn't accept it back since I had used it. I see three possible reasons why the plastic tab broke off. 1. The product was defective in the first place. 2. The product is so delicate that you have to use Xtreme care when using it. 3. Or maybe I did something wrong when I pressed the buttons to remove the top. Ok. In any case, I won't be doing business again with Xtreme Bike & Sport. I usually find Pedro's bike products to be of good quality. I think I just received one that happened to be defective. Too bad Xtreme Bike refused to work with me on this. I would give them zero stars if I could.
