This remote works exactly like the original equipment one from Ford. No instructions with unit but they are readily available online or in your owner's manual. One important thing to remember when you program a new remote!!! For many Ford vehicles your MUST program ALL remotes that are to be used at the same time! What this means is that if you have a working remote and program only the new one, your original working remote will not longer work. Once in programming mode, you have to click a button on each remote within the 8 second window to have them both work!! You have to be pretty close to the vehicle for these remotes to work but that is true of the factory remote that came with the vehicle, too. But it is still easier than getting the key into a lock in the dark!! Another important point to remember. You should have at least one manual lock that works on your vehicle!! If you lock your keys in the vehicle but have a "rescue" key in your wallet like I do, that "rescue" key is not much help if none of the manual locks work with the key!!
