I was looking for a laptop with the I5 processor running Windows 10. I specifically needed both HDMI and VGA ports. I found this Acer which had 6 GB of RAM rather than the more common 4 GB. I was not shopping for a specific brand, but I have two brands that I will not consider. Since my wife has an Acer desktop which has been great, I decided to give this laptop a try. I installed my Office 365 subscription and this machine performs very well, even with several resource-intensive aps running simultaneously. I had expected to spend at least $80.00 more for a laptop so this was a pleasant surprise.

Love this PC!

This is my 2nd Acer laptop. The fan in the first one died after 6 years of hard use. The newer one is lighter, faster & has much longer battery life. Walmart offers excellent value on the Acer, which is a basic laptop- perfect for what I need. Love that it has a numeric pad in the keyboard!

Phenominal laptop.

Bought this for my wife for her home computer. My current laptop is a 9 year old Acer Aspire, I bought for $250.00 back in 2008 during the financial crash, and it is still running excellent. So naturally, I wanted to buy my wife the same (newer) model. This thing is 10 stars. I work in IT for 30 years and nothing beats Acer. Her work laptop is a $1600.00 Dell Inspiron, and this Acer is almost just as nice for $379.00. If not for the lighted keyboard on the Dell. This laptop is 4-5 stars for a reason. Buy it and you will not be disappointed. You will not find a nicer laptop for the price.
