This diaper genie is a great hands free option which is exactly what we were looking for. We went with the metal option in hopes it wouldn’t hold odors over time like the plastic will. It looks really nice especially compared to the older plastic versions. It is quite a bit larger so holds more, meaning less frequent emptying, yet is still very compact. The refills come loaded in the bottom and are so easy to reload. There is no tying the top and bottom of the bags or cutting the bags like the other versions with the round bag inserts, only the top ties which is so great. The diapers go straight down into the bag without having to stick your hand down in to push the diaper in which is the best part.

This was a purchase to replace a different model that was not easy to use. Emptying the unit was not as easy as this one.
