Beautiful shower rod
After three years and many frustrations with other tension-mount shower rods, I decided to give this one final try and opted for this beautiful curved shower rod since the shower I have in the guest bathroom is on the smaller side. It was really easy to install using the instructions provided. I ended up mounting it a little higher so my curtain doesn't skim the floor - at first, I tried to bring the rod down a little so the curtain grazed the floor, but the rod wouldn't budge from where it was placed on the wall tile (LOL). Now I'm glad I left it as is because the curtain won't get as dirty on the bottom edge AND it just goes to show the quality of Moen products (stays in place when all other rods I tried came crashing down). I even bought felt pads just in case this rod came down, but it's been a few days and the rod is still holding strong, so I have no worries that it will stay in place for good! Best investment I've made and now I know for future houses to only buy Moen shower rods because of the superior quality!!

looks great
Curve in this shower rod is perfect. Love the look and the finish. Wasn't as easy to install as directions indicated. Didn't tell you how to remove the decorative caps and they weren't easy to reattach. Would have been easier to install with two people. That said, looks great and is very sturdy.

Wish It Was Stainless Steel
Would have preferred stainless steel because of rusting that occurred with previous shower curtain rod. Hopefully, the brushed nickel finish of this rod and use of shower curtain hangers with rollers will help this rod to survive longer than the old rod with a chrome finish that was used with sliding shower curtain hangers. Time will tell. Curved design of this rod should offer increased space within tub when compared with straight design of the rod that was replaced. Previous experience with curved shower curtain rods (in motels while travelling) was positive. Expect same result from this unit.
