Country Living Dixson 55"W x 43"H x 16"D Electric Fireplace with Mantel Surround - Dark Stone

This electric fireplace is rad. Ppl think it's real. I live in a townhome, so no way, but still it looks so much like an operating fireplace, that ppl ask me about it. The appearance is muah (chef's kiss). I particularly like the hefty mantel made of real wood. It's perfect for displaying knick knacks that need a broad surface to be safe. I paid the extra money for the actual fireplace setting, which looks like a real fireplace the way it's recessed and the wood faux logs are stacked. It's elegant and deceiving. In terms of use, I use it during the winter months to heat the front half of my townhome. I have a series of large windows and the 500 sq feet or so that make up my living room needs an extra kick to feel warm and comfy. The fireplace has a thermostat that shuts off when the space is up to the set temperature and automatically kicks back on when it drops. It's cost-effective and user-friendly this way. It has other settings, including a fan setting (I'm pretty sure! Double-check that if it's important to you.), which I don't use. I'm not a technical person, so I keep it simple. It has an easy to use remote that comes along with it to adjust settings. To sum it all up, I"m happy with my purchase and recommend it. It's pricey, I get it, bt it's a show piece and a cost-effective way to supplement your heat. If you want to organize your living room around a hearth and keep it cozy, the money so far is worth it.
