I tried this because the 'fam" in famitodine might be 'famish' related and wondered if not eating was a source of problems. When i don't take it I use a lot more baking soda to neutralize the acidity and 'basicness' of my tract per day. One cannot add acids and basics and come out neutral, it has to be a buffer and sodium bicarbonate has two carbonates to cleave per metal ion and I prefer sodium next to excess calcium carbonate.
