Table cream, What? I saw an article about “table cream”. What the heck is table cream? I bought a can to try it out. At 86, something new. I put it in the pantry where it stayed for a couple of months. Then one evening at supper, “ this is kind of dry” could use some gravy. Too late to make gravy, and I remembered table cream. Went to the pantry, put the can under the can opener and voila, I was looking at the product. Stuck a spoon in, gave it a taste. Neutral, not bad, consistency of warmish gravy, put a spoonful on the food stirred it in a bit, supper saved. The original taste was still there, but now softer on the palate. Put the leftover cream in a sealable container in the fridge, it's kept well. The occasion hasn't presented itself to use again, but /-2 weeks later, it's still good. I bought a couple more cans cuz it does take care of food that needs a little help.
