Inaccurate information:
I have been purchasing Allen shooting accessories for decades, without 1 complaint. Until now. This is the second (2nd) Ruger by Allen Rifle Case that I have purchased from Wal-Mart in the last month. I returned the Mesa so-called "46"" case on Monday earlier this week and am in the process of returning this one as well for the same issue. I am attaching pictures of a 46.25" air rifle with it's buttstock hanging out of the Mesa and 3 other cases I have that 2 of are sold as 46" correctly = THE LENGTH OF THE RIFLE THEY FIT, noy the outside length of the case itself. I have other Allen cases (NOT badged "Ruger") that fit the way they're supposed to = INSIDE LENGTH is the capacity listed as a 42,36,51,28" rifle case, whichever length of rifle one intends to store in it COMFORTABLY with adequate wiggle room. Always verify that the inside AND outside length are:
A) NOT stated as very close or the same dimensions.
B) A minimum of 3" longer outside measurement than your gun but not more than 5", rifle should fit "just right", not TOO tight or loose.
C) Matching to the length or slightly longer than your rifle.
A 46" case should be 48-49" outside. See pictures and, Allen, Step up your game man, PLEASE FIX THIS.
Wal-Mart has nothing to do with this issue and has been nothing but courteous and helpful regarding this matter.
For some reason my pictures won't load. I will try to add them in another review window later.
