We just bought a cast iron skillet shown above. Within 4 days it arrived by free delivery at our front door. We have used it the last three evenings for a cook out on our outdoor grill. The fresh beef hamburgers with peppers, onions. mushrooms and lots of spices cooked evenly on the grill and was the best we have tasted due to the cast iron pan heat distribution. It weighs over 20lbs, but a delight to cook on. This website is worth a visit from every amateur chief.

A high-quality, very useful cast-iron cooking implement!

This pan is a kitchen beast, in the best way. Although it is heavy, the thick metal makes it very durable and it seasons very quickly and easily with a bit of work. Once a good coat of season is on it (coconut and flax seed oil seems to work best), it gets progressively more non-stick the more you use it, plus it makes the food cooked in it taste richer and more complex. It is fantastic for browning meats for chili and it works especially well for oven-baking flax seed bread. I'll use this for decades, and it will probably never wear out.
