Look at the top before you purchase. I agree with another purchaser. The lights themselves are gorgeous, but they look ridiculous where they meet the ceiling. At the ceiling, there is a very heavy, bulky, and industrial mount. Even my electrician thought they were ugly. The problem is magnified because my space is so small. Before I bought them, I asked via email if they could be mounted flush with the ceiling, and I was told they could. I'm not sure what the purpose of the drop down is... it doesn't get hot. I'm not sure what the designers were thinking. Somebody obviously thought this was a good design feature. I only wish customer images ahd been posted before I bought mine. I hope this helps future buyers.

I loved these lights until they got installed. They leave a very unfinished look to what could have been very sleek. I wish they didn't stick out of the ceiling and were flush with it instead.
