Great coat on a budget

Great coat! Quality that's must see at a great price. This coat is warm without being too hot or bulky. Has ample pockets, a useful but not in the way, snow skirt. Just a very handy coat practical for the slopes.

Pretty good

I was expecting 2 sleeve pockets but it only has one on the left. I'm not sure if it'll matter unless the mountain key card is on the right. I could still potentially use my left hand. It's also not that many layers. I haven't used the jacket while exercising so I'm hoping the internal reflection is as heated as much as it says to be. I'd probably recommend a fluffier jacket for winter if you can find one here on sale. One of the comments said it's good for 40 degree weather but I'm really hoping it'll be good for -5 degree or at least 10 degrees to keep me warm.

Evaluating Warmth and Functionality for Cold Weath

The jacket, although well-constructed, starts to feel cold on the arms at 8 degrees Celsius. Even more so from the hand to the elbow. This is with two layers underneath, a thermal shirt and a microfleece. I've been skiing since I was 8 years old, and I'm now 57. I've tried different ski jacket brands, and this has never happened to me before. It lacks vents with zippers in the armpits. The hood isn't big enough to fit over a helmet, which isn't a problem for me since I'm old school and still ski without a helmet. However, considering that most skiers today wear helmets, this jacket won't be useful for them. I'm not sure if the omniteach technology is really that good at generating heat. I have my doubts. When there's a bit of wind (especially when you're on a chairlift or any other means of elevation without activity), the wind air filters quite a bit inside, preventing the retention of warmth. I didn't have the opportunity to test it in rain or snow.
