Since drumming also uses pedals, it makes sense that a racing shoe would work well for this purpose. The very thin sole is smooth enough to easily slide around for swivel/heel toe techniques, but is grippy enough to stay put when you need it to. They were a little tight at first, but fits like a glove after a few hours of wearing. I use EUR 45 in all my shoes, and these were true to fit on my normal width feet. Break them in with larger socks if you need to instead of returning them. They are supposed to be like a sock. Not sure how well they breathe, as I haven't worked up a sweat in them yet. No need to spend $200 on drumming shoes, when these work like a dream. I hope they become available again so I can buy another pair.
