This is a metal cabinet, it has holes on the sides to air out the shoes. My husband is a size 10 and I am a size 8.5 and about 3 pairs fit in each shelf, so six per drawer, it looks sleek and moody. I have ease of assembly a 4/5 because screwing in the drawers after building them is a bit tough. Definitely have someone help as this could cut down assembly Tim, took about 1-1.5 hours to assemble. Also I looked on Amazon for one of these and everything was over $100, so this is a great price for shoe storage that looks nice. Also, definitely anchor it to your wall for stability, even if you're using the legs! I put command strip hooks on mine for our keys as well!
