The Greatcall flip is what we needed for my father in law. The phone is easy to use with large buttons. The functions use a simple yes no response so it has been easy to get him to use the phone. There have been just a few glitches with set up but the customer service at Greatcall came to rescue. I would recommend this for anyone wanting a phone for an elderly person.

My Father Loves His New GreatCall Flip Phone!
I purchased a plan thru GreatCall for my Father 2 years ago. The main reason is because of the 5-Star. All he has to do is press the 5-Star red button for emergency help. He loves the large numbers, the high volume and the easy to use large keypad. This was his first phone and he loves it and I do too. I now feel comfortable knowing that he can get help anytime he needs it. I had to purchase him a new phone since he broke his and I did not purchase the insurance. The GC representative told me that I could purchase a new phone at any store. He also stated that Walmart currently had theirs on sale. My father loves it, because it is now even larger in size! I would highly recommend for a child or elderly person.

I picked this up for my sister, she absolutely loves it. Very senior friendly. If you order the phone directly from Great Call there is no activation fee, and the price for the phone works out to be the same. Also if ordered from Great Wall it will already be activated when you receive it.
