Like others, at first, I thought I received one with a scratched screen but there is actually a screen protector that needs to be removed. A very simple text , epub, pdf reader. it is black and white eink with pages you turn yourself as you would if you used a phone. you can download other apps including kindle. to use the book s on the readers app you may have to side load the books onto the reader. there is an expandable tf card slot as well. it is cheaper and good for kids once you get used to the features.
