i purchased this as an insert for my fireplace because we only get cold days sporadically and a real fire isn't worth the work. when they say turbo they mean it. thank goodness for the thermostat. i turned it on and the area was immediately HOT. works perfect to heat up the area im using so i dont have to turn on the central heater and get the horrid smell of burning throughout the entire house because it isnt used enough. the ambiance is also a great bonus.
