Sleep Innovations Marley 12" Cooling Gel Memory Foam Mattress, Twin

We bought this mattress to replace a water bed. My wife likes it better than the water bed and I like it almost as much. She likes the new mattress for both back and side sleeping positions. I like it for back sleeping but find it a little stiff for side sleeping. I am cold natured and liked the water bed always being warm but she likes the Sleep Innovations mattress being cooler. Now, I turn the electric blanket on PreHeat and am happy with a warm bed to get into. One heads up - The instructions say to allow three days for fun expansion. I found that the width and thickness were fully expanded in a few hours but it took the full three days for the length to expand to 80 inches. I was worried at the end of the first day when the mattress was only 75 inches long.

We bought this 10" mattress because we have an older one in our camper van that we have used a lot. It is 4 years old and is still very comfortable. The new mattress was delivered several days earlier than they initial had estimated. It is surprising that it is so small when it comes out of the box. Once it is opened it quickly expanded to 9.5" thick. It said you can sleep on that night but we let it settle overnight. The next night it was 9.75" thick and we slept on it. It is nearly 10" now. This mattress is firm but supportive. We find it very comfortable. We find the Gel foam is not warm. One other note is that we ordered this from Walmart because, if we did find it unacceptable, they would come and pick it up at no charge. Amazon would have made us some how squeeze it back into some kind of box and send it back.
