Blade length

Tell what the actual cutting surface length of the blade is. Not just the overall length. The true length of cutting edge is 6.25 inches. Overall length of blade is 10.50 inches not 8.9 inches as stated in product features on carton. I would prefer at least a 10 inch cutting length.
