This plant is an air-purifier, it absorbs harmful substances from the indoor air, which improves mood and removes stress after hard working day. The plant requires a lot of bright light, it needs at least 6-8 hours of direct sun each day. It is necessary to turn the pot from time to time, so each side can receive enough sunlight. Water the plant with approximately 1 glass of room temperature water when the top few inches of soil seem to be on drier side to the touch (about two-three times a week in summer, and the rest of the year it should be a bit less). Don’t let the plant sit in soggy soil. Goldcrest is shipped in 4” pot. The plant prefers high level of air humidity. Goldcrest must be watered systematically, and moistened with a sprayer. It doesn’t stand drafts, which have negative effect on the plant. Feed the plant once in 2 weeks during growing season with the liquid fertilizers; in winter the feeding is reduced till once a month. The height of the plant shipped varies from 12” to 14” which is measured from the bottom of the pot to the very top of the plant. The width of the plant is between 6” to 8”. The repotting of the plant is made once in a few years in the early spring, since the soil can lose all its useful properties during this time. The pot should be just a little bigger than the previous one. Your plant may look little different from the advertised; however, be assured, we handpicked our plants to meet your expectations.
