I got this night stand thinking I was going to use it like a night stand, but to be honest with you, the minute I unpacked it from the box, I changed my mind. It was entirely too cute and detailed to hide it next to my bed in a bedroom. This table was perfect to go in our main living space as an end table. I preferred to use it more as an accent table because of the side cross-bar details. I was not disappointed by the quality of the table. It is pretty heavy and constructed really well. The drawer is a good size to fit several books or anything else you may keep in your nightstand like lotions, sleep masks, tissues. The drawer slides in and out easily without sticking and the drawer knob is small so it doesn't matter what your décor is. We have a house full of teenage boys and I'm not worried about this table holding up to their rough nature. It has done well so far even though most of them don't know how to use a drink coaster. I would definitely consider buying a second table to match or maybe a whole other matching set for one of my boys' new apartment.
