This thing doesn't actually have a thermostat. It has a regulator that sends more or less propane to the burners, but it doesn't turn heat on or off depending on the temperature. Also, I bought two. One works (see above), the other has a defective igniter. There is no spark, even though it clicks. I took off the cover, and the spark somehow is between the wire and the main body where it enters the burning chamber - probably bad wiring. Their web site has no support.

We apologize your having an issue with no ignition. Please contact our support team directly at 1-800-776-9425 ext. 190. The DVP17 does have a thermostat. This unit is designed to shut off the burner when the thermostat is satisfied from the selection dial. This burner shuts off but leaves the pilot which will create some heat as well.
