[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the laptop and its a Pretty good value for the performance. the Keyboard is nice and the screen is pretty decent. however, the trackpad is really clicky sounding but I kind of like it and the body collect fingerprints pretty bad. the main reason its only a 4 out of 5 stars is because the spec sheet for the 82XG000WUS says the bottom is all aluminum but holding it in my hands it is clearly a plastic bottom which makes it feel cheaper than it is.

I bought because it had an attractive price initially at $600. Upon receiving, the laptop looked and felt great. It's all aluminum and it ran fast. However, I promptly returned because I cannot trust the mounting of the hinges to the top portion of the laptop due to them breaking my last Ideapad 5 after only two years of use. There are many people complaining on the internet about this issue, so take that into consideration before buying this computer. The casing is aluminum but is held together by plastic. Other than the poor reliability, it's a laptop with good hardware and casing material. I want to like the Ideapad lineup but the hinge issue needs fixed. Why not make it aluminum mounting that's built in all-in-one with the frame, like a vehicle?
