Mellow Easy Set-up Steel Platform Bed with Headboard, Queen

The bed arrived perfectly packaged with a heavy grade box to protect the bed packaging. I appreciated that because the outer box was pretty banged up, but the bed was unaffected. The bed was extremely easy to set up. I followed the directions, literally there were only 8 steps in setting it up. I had it together by myself in less than 10 minutes. There is nothing about this bed frame that feels cheap, or that it will not last a lifetime. I was really happy that the bed had steel slats as opposed to wood slats. I have had real issues with wood slats breaking in the past. Although the package states that it is a platform bed, I wasn't sure if I would need a box spring. I purchased a 6" memory foam mattress, and it worked perfect. No box spring needed. I think it is important to note that this is a steel bed, not a cheap version of a metal bed. It is so well constructed with the smallest details built to last. The decorative end pieces on the head and foot boards are made of thick, heavy plastic. These bulb style decorative pieces actually are screwed into the frame. I am pretty sure not even my 5 year old grand daughter would be able to damage these, and she's tough on furniture. If you are looking for a modern, attractive, well constructed bed that will last, I highly recommend this bed. The frame is black, and the design of the frame makes it a neutral color for any bedroom. I am using this bed in my my grand daughters bedroom with lilac bedding, its gorgeous. This is by far the easiest set up ever! No kidding! I opened the box and set it all up and rearranged it in under five minutes. It is that easy! In the box with the bed frame is included one sheet of instructions and one small box which contains the screws, bolts, and tops. The instructions are plain and simple. Too easy to not get it right. As soon as the bed frame is pulled out all it takes is to unfold it in sections. It is so easy to set up that it would be easy to put away too. I would even say it could be portable. This is the kind of bed frame that I would not dread to take down in a move. It is not bulky nor heavy. It leaves much more space in the bedroom than a wooden bed frame.All other bed frames I have ever purchased require at least one hour to assemble and screw all the pieces together, which I dread. Nonetheless, this TwinXL bed frame is simple and nicely made for anyone looking for modern and clean décor for a bedroom. In comparison to a twin bed, this bed frame is long enough for someone who is tall and needs the extra leg room or for anyone who just wants more space. With all that said if your looking for a twin bed XL or any twin bed, I highly recommend this one.
