I purchased this very beautiful crystal lamp to sit on top of my piano so that when I play, I can have illumination downward on the keys. It is a heavy, beautiful cut crystal lamp and just the size I was looking for. It does have an uno textured white shade, I personally didn't care for the shade, it seemed that it didn't compliment the beautiful lamp, but that is just a personal preference. I would purchased this lamp again in a heartbeat, it is that beautiful!!
