Waterproof Canopy

We got this waterproof canopy 2 weeks ago and I wasn't sure if I would like it because it's not mesh like the original non-waterproof canopy; however, I really like it. It appears to look like a tan colored sheet and that's different from what I was expecting. I thought it would be more sheer. Because it's truly waterproof it holds water on the top which keeps it from blowing off the pergola structure when there's a storm and we've had many in the past 2 weeks. It provides great shade. I like being able to sit under it and not get wet when there's a brief rain shower. Overall I'm glad we purchased it to replace the torn worn-out original cover.
