    How it should be

This movie goes into great detail of how Bear Bryant ran his practices and prepared his men for not only football, but for life after college. Its a shame that football coaches cant run things like this anymore. We would have more leaders in our communities and less criminals and drug addicts. As a Coach, I look I study the work of Bear Bryant both on and off the football field and hold him in the highest regards as a role model, teacher, and leader. I'll leave this quote by Bear Bryant--"The old lessons (work, self-discipline, sacrifice, teamwork, fighting to achieve) aren't being taught by many people other than football coaches these days. The football coach has a captive audience and can teach these lessons because the communication lines between himself and his players are more wide open than between kids and parents. We better teach these lessons or else the country's future population will be made up of a majority of crooks, drug addicts, or people on relief."

    The Bear is Smiling

I saw this movie on ESPN one time, I liked it. Paul (Bear) Bryant is one of my favorite football coaches.
