Dwight Yoakam's classic take on country music, combined with more than a little bit of rock & roll attitude and a sharp, clear vision of how it all fits together, made him one of the more interesting of the new traditionalists to emerge in the 1980s. This collection provides a glimpse of all that, but only a glimpse, and it is simply way too short to be anything but a truck-stop purchase.
