I have a new job that requires my presence regardless of weather. I bought these as an all season alternative that leans toward winter weather service. It was much cheaper than buying a new,all wheel drive vehicle to replace my front wheel drive sedan. I am also looking at a set of premium chains as a backup. I really don't want to fool with changing out separate summer and winter tires. Winter has not brought any storms yet, but I will try to follow up once we get some ice and snow. The rubber is softer than regular all-season tires to stay pliable in cold weather. I suspect they may wear more poorly than standard tires as a result. They have an excellent ride and I notice improved wet weather performance. So far, I would recommend if you have the need for a year round tire with a winter service bias.
