Healthcare SC, LLC Bodipedic Essentials 2-Inch Cooling Memory Foam Mattress Topper King

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wouldn't be lying to say I wasn't expecting much from a 2 inch mattress topper. Most of us sink in a lot farther just sitting on a couch. However the gel cooling properties and graphene wicking cover are very appealing to a woman ‘of the age' for the dreaded night sweats and hot flashes. I really couldn't have been more wrong about the thickness since the moment I laid down after unrolling it (also one of the easiest toppers I've ever opened), it was like floating on a cloud. I don't mean that you can't feel it underneath you at all, just that it relieves all of the usual pressure points and actually feel your weight distributing evenly rather than feeling like a burden. It does have that bit of a ‘new mattress topper smell' but it's not room-filling cloyingly powerful, just a bit of a hint when you're very close or lie down and push out air. And it certainly does that. Not just the bed itself seems to softly sigh as I settle but the pleasure of lying down makes me unable to hold back a heavy satisfied sigh of my own. And I know this sounds glowingly unreal, but getting comfortable sleep has being such a chore over the years and I've tried SO many, that I am more than a little psyched (and even poetic) when I finally try something that I know is going to change the game. Every little bit of comfort can really add up! I love the design and the ‘stickiness' and by that I mean it doesn't slide around easily like others I've tried either. The cover is quite soft and sturdy and I love that waterproof doesn't mean those loud plastic covers of the past. Of course, it does work best only having a fitted sheet, preferably thin and moisture wicking as well, over it to get the most of the cooling properties, but the comfort factor isn't diminished by those warm blankets. Also cooling doesn't mean cold; you can still use this on cold nights since the cooling works with your body temp; it's not an ice pack that cools even when you don't need it to. That's an aspect I find best of all since the sensation of being too hot or cold definitely plays a part on how well you can stay asleep. I did get a queen sized but noticed that it fits passably on a full sized bed with just a small bit of overlap on either side. A lot of bed sets are sold as full/queen because of the ‘baggy for a full, exact for a queen' fit preferences. So overall, I definitely recommend this Bodipedic mattress topper.

This topper is just what I needed to add softness without purchasing another mattress. The cooling jell was amazing. It does not make you hot like other toppers I have had. I will be purchasing another for our guest room. Highly recommend.
