I had these hooked up to a factory radio, they definitely out did the factory speakers, which is to be expected depending on the car, make, model etc. but with just the factory head unit hooked up to these speakers, it was plenty of power, no amp needed, but I would've liked to have heard them with a lil' more power running to them… But not much more. Clear sounding speaker, could have more bass in my opinion, but, that's playing them without an amp. I got them on sale, but still overall a pretty good speaker and brand!
