This is a great sturdy hand truck that met an unusual need for me and saved me lots of money. It serves the basic purpose perfectly and has been used for getting a freezer up the stairs as well as moving heavy things around my garage and yard, but that's not what I bought this particular model for. I have a small electric log splitter than does a great job of splitting wood for me. The only thing I didn't like about it was that it was so low to the ground, the log splitting was really hard on my back. I looked all over for some type of table that I could place the splitter on and then raise it to a better height. The splitter is too heavy for me to lift onto a stationary table and lift tables cost a fortune plus most were too small to accommodate the splitter anyway. I finally realized that this hand truck might work because it has a big toe plate and big wheels so can lift something up a decent amount. I put a ¾” plywood board on the truck to act as a solid surface and then run the toe plate under my splitter wheels when it is up on end in its storage position. Although I can move the splitter using its own wheels and handles, it fits well on the truck as well. I move it using the hand truck to where I want to use it and then tip the truck back until it is in cart position, now with the splitter resting on the board on top of the cart bed. This effectively raises the splitter a good 10” and provides a sturdy surface for my wood splitting. I thought I'd have to put chucks under the cart wheels, but haven't had to. I get the job done without killing my back and then can raise the cart up to hand truck position and move the splitter back to where I want to store it. I couldn't be more satisfied. Not only is the hand truck very useful, this extra use is its greatest feature for me. I highly recommend this hand truck over others because of the opportunity for various uses with one piece of equipment.

The cart is good for the money. My problem is that I ordered three of them online and only one came with the wheels/casters and assembly hardware. I'm still working through customer service a few weeks later to get the other parts or total replacement.
