This is a port replicator / kind of laptop dock "for creators" as the, manufacturer says on the packaging. This is to differentiate it from a parallel product they make that is similar but "for business" so it offers' a different mix of ports. In this unit, you get a USB-A port, a headphone jack, a microphone jack (both 3.5" mini style), a full-size SD card reader, a Gigabit ethernet jack, a USB-C port to connect the unit to your laptop/desktop, an HDMI port for an external monitor, and a USB-C power delivery pass through port that supports 20 watts of supply. Also included is an instruction booklet and a 5" short cable to connect the unit to your laptop or desktop. In my tests, all the ports performed as advertised with speed and throughput equal to those promised. If you need some extra ports and you want to use your laptop with an external monitor without having to fuss with cables and such for the display or for your other peripherals, you will love this. I gave this unit five stars, except in the area of "Ports" I only gave four stars, because I think it would have been better (and very low additional cost) if the manufacturer included a USB-C to USB-A adapter so those without a USB-C port on their laptops could use this device too without having to buy a separate adapter. Other than that, this unit is a five star little lifesaver!
