I give my rating based on what i have read from Consumer Reports and other agencies of which and independent individuals who have received their locks and installed them. (OF WHICH WALMART IS IN NO WAY AT ANY FAULT OR THEIR SHIPPING METHODS FOR MY NOT RECEIVING THIS ITEM) This Secure Lock made under Lisence from those wonderful lock makers Schlage make one fine example of a Single Cylinder Bolt lock absolutely worthy of anyones primary door locks for entryway from the outside. Personally im not a fan of the finish but i will say unlike other finishes of the similar type theirs is ungotty and not tacky looking but rather inderstated and appears to look much more expensive than the price i wa able to obtain here at Walmart on sale for the incredible price of 7.00$ thats right SEVEN BUCKS LADYS AND GENTLEMEN THATS ONE HECK OF A GREAT DEAL.... I plan on obtaining another rather soon cause ive searched others that offer this itand even its regular list price i have yet to find anyone else that manage to match Walmarts price on this item.

My project was to replace two locks on my hinged patio door. This is satin finish and I used with lever handled door knob and matched perfectly. Removed the old hardware which was a brass finish and both pieces had lost finish on the outside of the door. Followed the provided instructions and installed.
