HAVE GUN WILL TRAVEL:COMPLETE SERIES

This is a great classic western TV series. The episodes, pacing, and storylines still hold up well today considering this was originally filmed and broadcast in the 1960's. The DVD quality is excellent. Although this is only in the original black and white, the contrasts and levels are very good and the DVD transfer/master is very sharp and clean from dust and noise.

Not every parent was thrilled about their kids watching this series when it first ran. After all, the hero was a hired gun who drank, gambled, and partied with loose women when he wasn't shooting lowlifes. We never missed it in my house. The black outfit, the hidden gun, the soldier's skills combined with the philosopher's eye made this a one of a kind western and Richard Boone was the perfect Paladin, a knight without armor. Looking forward to watching again a favorite show which has lost nothing with age.
