I am completely new to yoga and was bored out of my mind the one time I tried a class. This is perfect for teaching me poses and breathing exercises that I can work into my own routine. It has sequence suggestions for various goals or you can design your own. The illustrations and instructions are excellent. As a person who is interested in both physical fitness and mindfulness and who likes to operate alone, this deck is perfect. I cannot recommend it enough.

This is a useful tool, especially for beginning practitioners, but for more experienced yogis and yoginis, too. The deck provides a few dozen poses, a handful of different breathing exercises and meditiations, and some warm-up stretches. You can do the numbered poses in order or mix and match as needed. I really like that, along with a step-by-step explanation of how to perform each pose, the Sanskrit names are given and the benefits of each poses are listed, so it's easy to figure out which poses will help a stiff neck or fatigue or whatever ails you. Very convenient for travel or the office.
