Bought these and they did the job. Numerous lights for a reasonable cost. All the lights work. And yes, you need to put each bulb into the string which we did after we strung them. This was actually a plus as bulbs are sturdy but glass. I am sure we could have some broken if they were already attached. Went through one whole summer of wind and weather. Worked well. Ready to hang up again and enjoy!
