Dolly Parton's Buttermilk Pancake Mix, 26 oz

Dolly's pancakes are a hit at our house. Simply add water to the mix, stir it up, and pour on the griddle. The pancakes are super easy, but they are also very good. “Mmmm, they are so light and fluffy!” is a common comment at our house. Yes, they are very good, some just like to rave more than others. Food is subjective, you know. We've tried several of Dolly's baking mixes. We find a few of the recipes pretty heavy on the butter. They're good when baked up, but just knowing how much butter is in them weighs on your mind while you're enjoying them. The pancakes, however, don't use butter. Just water and mix. So they've become a staple on griddle. We haven't tried to waffle variation, yet. But we would use this mix the next time we feel for waffles. The price is in line with the other national brand pancake mixes, so after having tried a few of those, too, we'll stick with Dolly's pancakes.

When an article said this was their favorite pancake mix I thought--'how can it be any different or that much better than the rest?'...Guess what peeps? It is true! I have already reordered more...I don't even think my recipe from scratch is better AND I made the recipe on the box adding eggs and milk and it didn't seem any better than just using the mix and water...I don't understand it--I just accept it.
