SO FAR the squirrels can't get at the plastic tube holding the bird food (they destroyed the last feeder I had). I noticed the bird food will get wet in the tube - you have to watch out for that.

metal slide lock pieces on top bent and one broke first time I filled it. Worst quality I've seen in bird feeders. This one won't last a week. Can't return because the packing box was discarded. Perky - pet should discontinue or make their products worth the money they charge!
