kaytee critter trail dazzle turn-about habitat

Overall I like this cage and my furry friend does too. He is a Syrian hamster so he is a little snug in the tubes but he seems to get around just fine. He uses all of the areas especially the rolling tubes. On occasion he does like to empty his pouches into this thing which is quite funny but noisy. he does also pee on occasion in the rolling tube which can be a bit frustrating but to be expected with hamsters. I really think it makes him feel like he has never ending tubes to enjoy which is awesome. There is a trick to opening the tubes I figured out which is using a butter knife on each clasp. Otherwise you risk possibly cracking it trying to pull it apart. In short I'm very happy with my purchase and would recommend it.

Not for dwarfs.

Definitely not made for dwarf hamsters as the poor thing couldn't get out of the exercise wheel on top. Otherwise great product and hamster did love it.

Good and Bad - But great cage!

I have had this cage going on 9 months, and it has worked fairly well. Cons: 1.) Plastic is easy to chew 2.) The wheel is hard to clean and doesn't come apart for me. 3.) Wheel sometimes gets stuck when my hamster pees in the wheel. Pro: Big wheel allows the hamster to feel like he/she is in a tunnel (Like in the wild). Despite the cons, I do not regret buying this cage! It keeps my hamster entertained for hours, although hard to clean, you do not need to do that often. My hamster does not go in the lookout as it is not very roomy for a Syrian. I definitely recommend this cage as long as you have the responsibility and time to clean it thoroughly!
